Turkic Academy: New perspectives on Turkic History proposed

An expert meeting was held on June 23, 2023, to discuss new proposals for the text of the textbook “Common Turkic History”. The meeting was chaired by the President of the Turkic Academy, Shahin Mustafayev, Turanews.kz reports.

The proposals, which were received from the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, concerned the introduction of changes and additions to the text of the textbook. The proposals were discussed by historians and specialists in the field of education from the Turkic countries.

At the end of the meeting, the experts came to a common decision on the proposed changes. The new edition of the textbook will be submitted for approval at the next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Turkic Academy.

The meeting was significant as it was the first time that experts from all Turkic countries had come together to discuss the textbook. The proposals from the Uzbek side were well-received by the other experts, and it is hoped that the new edition of the textbook will be a valuable resource for students and scholars of Turkic history.

It is worth noting that the textbook “Common Turkic History” was developed by the Turkic Academy on behalf of the Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States. The textbook was first published in 2022, and it has been used in schools and universities across the Turkic world.
