Turkey and Uzbekistan discuss expanding cooperation on trade

On November 24, the event “New perspectives of Turkey-Uzbekistan economic cooperation” organized in cooperation with the Economic Research Fund of the Republic of Turkey and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan in Tashkent, the press service of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade reports.

During the event, prospects for developing trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey, improving the investment environment, accelerating regional and international trade and economic relations, and developing infrastructure were discussed.

Also, opportunities for expanding cooperation in the field of interregional transport and logistics were considered, with the aim of further activating the use of the international Trans-Caspian corridor, increasing the volume of cargo, optimizing prices, developing transport infrastructure, simplifying transit processes and joint implementation of large logistics infrastructural projects.

At the end of the event, the participants determined the priority directions of trade and economic relations of Turkish business with Uzbek entrepreneurs and expressed their readiness to continue cooperation on establishing long-term mutually beneficial cooperation,
