Trump Plans to Impose 10–15% Tariffs on Over 150 Countries

U.S. President Donald Trump has announced plans to send official notices to more than 150 countries regarding the imposition of tariffs ranging between 10% and 15%, according to MSN. Final decisions on the exact rates have not yet been made.

“We will be notifying over 150 countries about the tariffs. The notice will include the proposed rate,” Trump stated.

This comes amid a broader strategy by Trump, who had previously suggested imposing 50% tariffs on Brazil, 19% on Vietnam, 25% on Canada, and 30% on the European Union. Pharmaceuticals and car imports are also among the targeted sectors.

The announcement also reminds that sweeping tariff measures, originally set for April 2 but postponed, are expected to take effect on August 1. As that date approaches, several countries are rushing to finalize trade agreements with the U.S. to avoid potential economic fallout.
