Traveling Exhibition on Energy Transition Technologies Opens in Ashgabat
On June 4, the traveling exhibition "Transition to Renewable Energy Sources - The Energy of the Future" opened at the Technology Center of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat. The event, reported by TuraNews.kz with reference to "Turkmenistan: Golden Age," focuses on various aspects of transitioning to renewable energy sources.
Organized by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) in collaboration with the German Embassy in Turkmenistan, the exhibition features five exposition blocks that cover the political, economic, and scientific facets of renewable energy transitions. Visitors can explore best practices from European countries in implementing energy-saving technologies and use virtual reality glasses to envision the future world of energy.
The traveling exhibition began three years ago and has since been showcased in several European and Asian countries, as well as in the Persian Gulf and Central Asia. The transition to renewable energy is a long-term process that involves structural changes across multiple sectors and requires regional and international cooperation.
Residents of Ashgabat can visit the exhibition until June 25, after which it will move to Mary.
