Six members of the Turkish Armed Forces lost their lives, and one sustained injuries during a confrontation with terrorists in northern Iraq, as reported by the Turkish Ministry of National Defense on Saturday.
The fatal clash transpired on December 23, 2023, when terrorists attempted to infiltrate a base within the operational area of Operation Pençe-Kilit. The Ministry’s statement revealed that six brave servicemen lost their lives, and one was wounded during the engagement. Preliminary data indicates that 13 terrorists were neutralized in the course of the confrontation. The military operation in the region remains ongoing.
