Tokayev thanked all Kazakhstanis who effort in the disaster zone in Türkiye

The President of Kazakhstan pointed out the importance of the job of rescuers.

Huge trust and high responsibility are on the shoulders of the all rescuers. This was stated by President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during a visit to the Academy of Civil Protection named after Malik Gabdullin in the Akmola region.

At the same time, the head of the Kazakh state focused on two powerful earthquakes that occurred in Türkiye on February 6.

“As all of you know that there occured devastating earthquakes in Türkiye recently. On my instructions, a group of Kazakhstani rescuers and doctors was sent to the fraternal country. There are 18 specialists in the group. Our Kazakshtani rescuers have helped many people after the disaster in Türkiye.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all Kazakhstanis who worked day and night in Türkiye! After a safe return to their homeland, all of them will be presented for awards,” the President said.

According to the head of state, rescuers have a difficult and dangerous profession, so truly brave and courageous people work in this area.

Meanwhile, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan reported that since the beginning of search and rescue operations, the rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan have rescued 7 people and transferred them to medical workers. The bodies of 80 dead were recovered, including 7 children.
