The President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed to organize the World Nomad Games at the highest level. The head of Kazakhstan announced the relevant instruction at a meeting with President of the Association of National Sports Islambek Salzhanov, Turanews.kz reports.
According to the press service of the Presidency of Kazakhstan, Tokayev instructed Islambek Salzhanov to carry out work on organizing the V World Nomad Games at the highest level. He stressed that during this large-scale event, conditions should be created for the effective use of the opportunities of small and medium-sized businesses, including in the areas of tourism, folk crafts, and services.
The President of Kazakhstan noted the need to develop a concept for the development of national sports and instructed to provide for security measures when holding equestrian sports competitions.
In September 2022, the World Ethnosport Confederation unanimously supported Kazakhstan’s application to host the 5th World Nomad Games in 2024.
