President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev declared that the nationwide referendum was conducted at the highest level—transparently and fairly—while congratulating his compatriots on the adoption of the new Constitution, TuraNews.kz reports, citing Akorda.
The Head of State emphasized that both domestic and international observers noted strict adherence to all legal requirements and democratic norms.
“The final results of the citizens’ will will be officially finalized by the Central Referendum Commission in accordance with the law. However, we can already state that the citizens of Kazakhstan have demonstrated a brilliant example of unity, solidarity, patriotism, and shared responsibility for the destiny of our Motherland. The vast majority of our citizens chose the path of Progress, Justice, Law, Order, and Environmental Stewardship. This is a noble path. There is no doubt that this ‘People’s Constitution’ will lead us toward new achievements and successes.”
Highlighting the record-high voter turnout, the President thanked everyone who visited the polling stations to clearly express their civic stance.
“In doing so, we showcased the political culture of Kazakh society to the entire world. Where there is unity, there is life and prosperity! A nation’s strength is born from unity. For Kazakhstan to become a progressive and competitive nation, it is vital that we maintain peace and friendship, while demonstrating patience, perseverance, creativity, and hard work.”
