Tobacco Prices in Kazakhstan Rise by 12%

Kazakhstan has increased the minimum retail price for tobacco products by 12% starting July 1, 2025,

The decision was made under a new order signed by the Minister of Finance on June 30.

The new pricing applies to filtered and unfiltered cigarettes, papirosas, cigarillos, and heated tobacco products. From July 1 to December 31, 2025, the minimum retail price is set at 920 tenge. Beginning January 1, 2026, it will rise further to 970 tenge.

Here’s the recent price trend:

  • July–December 2024: 820 tenge
  • January–June 2025: 870 tenge
  • July–December 2025: 920 tenge
  • From January 2026: 970 tenge

The latest increase marks a 12% rise in just six months.
