TikTok Layoffs Hit Global Workforce
TikTok is conducting mass layoffs of employees worldwide. The reasons cited are the development of microblocking and artificial intelligence in the US.

Content moderators are primarily affected by the cuts. This is not surprising, as manual verification can be replaced by automated algorithms, Reuters reports.
In addition, in 2024, TikTok’s management was accused of “failing to protect children from sexual abuse.” This also affected the mass layoffs.
While former US Presidents Barack Obama used Facebook and Donald Trump used Twitter to win elections, TikTok is now an effective tool for modern politicians.
It should be noted that TikTok will be banned in Kyrgyzstan. And in Russia, TikTok may be blocked.
