The Senate to Review Agreement for Kazakhstan-Türkiye Cooperation in International Cargo Transportation
The Senate is set to deliberate on a proposed law regarding collaboration between Kazakhstan and Türkiye in the realm of international cargo transportation.
The primary objective of this legislation is to streamline the process of international freight movement utilizing various modes of transport. Additionally, it aims to bolster transit and transportation capabilities while fostering trade and economic ties between the two nations.
Under the provisions of the law, vehicles, individuals, and legal entities engaged in combined transportation of goods, as well as the goods being transported, will be subject to regulatory oversight upon entry to or departure from the territory of either party, in accordance with their respective laws.
To address all matters pertaining to the implementation of the Agreement, a Joint Committee will be established, comprising government officials and representatives from the combined transport sector.
Following deliberations, the senators have resolved to forward the proposed law, titled “On the ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Turkish Republic on international combined transport of goods,” for consideration by the Chamber.
