The President of Kyrgyzstan announced a record stock of gold in the country

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov said that the republic has accumulated a record stock of gold, Turanews.kz reports citing Interfax.ru

“The joint coordination of the branches of power made it possible to collect such a volume of gold reserves, which has not been observed in the entire history of independent Kyrgyzstan. We keep them in case of unforeseen circumstances as strategic reserves,” Zhaparov said at a festive event on the occasion of Navryz.

According to him, the planet is exposed to various cataclysms, major military conflicts arise, the world economy is experiencing upheavals, and their consequences are spreading around the world.

“The global events did not bypass us either which significantly affected the rise in prices across the country. But despite this, we were able to raise the salaries of social workers and civil servants. We also succeeded in doing a lot of work in the field of security and defense, since the issue of the integrity of the country came to the fore in connection with well-known events. We have purchased modern military equipment, allocating billions for this,” Zhaparov said.

He added that the republic will intensify cooperation with strategic partners.

“Whatever country we take as an example, it is difficult to develop alone without building relationships with other states. Under these conditions, it is necessary to strengthen international partnership and friendly relations. We have strengthened interaction with strategic partners and friendly countries,” Zhaparov said.
