The number of tourists visiting Uzbekistan tripled

In 2022, 5.2 million foreign citizens visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes, Turanews.kz reports citing the press service of the Statistics Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Totally 5.2 million tourists from various countries visited Uzbekistan last year which one is 3.4 million people or 2.8 times more than in 2021 year.

The largest number of tourists visited Uzbekistan from Kazakhstan with 1.5 million people. Second place belongs to Tajikistan with 1 million 447.8 thousand and list goes as Kyrgyzstan with 1 million 356.9 thousand, Russia (567.7 thousand) and Turkey (75.6 thousand).

Turkey – 75.6 thousand
South Korea – 19.9 thousand
Germany – 17.7 thousand
India – 16.8 thousand
USA – 13.1 thousand
France – 11 thousand.
Great Britain – 10.5 thousand
Azerbaijan – 10.4 thousand
Italy – 8.8 thousand
Spain – 6.3 thousand
China – 5.4 thousand people.
