According to the National Bank of Tajikistan, this marks a 39 percent increase, with 2.9 million new electronic wallets added compared to the same period in 2023.
In the first half of 2024, 8.625 million cashless transactions were made through electronic wallets, reflecting a 16.2 percent rise compared to the previous year.
The total value of these transactions amounted to 1.212 billion somoni (over 113 million US dollars), representing a 45.6 percent increase from the same period last year.
