The International Dance and Folklore Festival kicks off in Turkmenistan

On Tuesday, June 13, the International Dance and Folklore Festival “Avaza-2023” kicked off in the National Tourist Zone “Avaza.” Cultural delegations from Iran, India, Kazakhstan, China, Tajikistan, Russia, Romania, and Uzbekistan are participating in the festival, which is organized by the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, Turanews.kz reports.

On the first day of the festival, a concert was held in the complex of interactive fountains. The program featured a rich variety of musical genres, original national tunes, and unique samples of folk traditions.

On June 14, a scientific and practical conference “Traditions of folklore creativity and folk dance” will take place.

The program of the International Dance and Folklore Festival “Avaza-2023” also includes meetings and master classes in choreography. Guests can enjoy a cultural program, including tours of the National Tourist Zone “Avaza” and boat trips.

The closing ceremony of the International Dance and Folklore Festival “Avaza-2023,” awarding ceremonies, and final gala concert will take place on June 16.
