The first auction lot for 5G frequency distribution in Kazakhstan has sold at 62.7 billion Tenge

Yesterday, an open auction for radio frequencies for the fifth generation of mobile communication (5G) was held in Kazakhstan, Turanews.kz reports.

The first price at the auction, it started from 1,761,225,000 tenge for the radio frequency bands 3600-3700 MHz (100 MHz) for 5G technology, .

in the end of auction, the price for radio the frequency bands rised up to 62,669,775,351 tenge and the winner was the consortium consisting of Mobile Telecom Service LLP (Tele2 and Altel) and Kcell JSC (Kcell and Activ).

According to the commitments of the auction, the winner of the auction is obligated to activate the total of 3527 base stations. It is expected that by 2027 year , 75% of cities of national importance along the country and 60% of the regional centers will be provided with 5G technology.

It was noted that after the necessary arrangements, from ordinary subscribers to the large businesses, everyone in the country will be able to benefit the advantages of the high speed of the 5G connection .

The result of the second lot for the 3700-3800 MHz (100 MHz) radio frequency band will be announced today.
