The appearance of the American military “Boeing” in Nur-Sultan

The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Aibek Smadiyarov explained why a military transport plane of the US armed forces landed in Nur-Sultan.

On Saturday, a message spread on Russian Telegram channels that a “heavy transport aircraft Boeing C-17A Globemaster III of the US Air Force” had landed in Nur-Sultan.

Smadiyarov explained that the arrival of the plane is standard practice.

“The plane flew in under an agreement between us and the American side which delivered a diplomatic cargo to the American embassy. All planes that deliver diplomatic mails from USA, they belong to the US Air Force and therefore they are military planes. Before arriving to Capital, the plane stopped by for delivering cargo to other countries as well. The plane stood about 1 and half hour at airport and left after finishing unload its cargo.” Smadiyarov said, answering journalists’ questions at a briefing at the Foreign Ministry.
