The 6th Meeting of the Scientific Council of the Turkic Academy was held in Bishkek
On March 28, the 6th Meeting of the Scientific Council of the Turkic Academy was held in Bishkek, Turanews.kz reports citing the Press Service of the Academy.
The President of the Turkic Academy Shahin Mustafayev, Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic Kanybek Imanaliev, Deputy Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Idris Isayev, Chairman of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Darkhan Ahmed-Zaki, Chairman of the Board of Education of the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Türkiye Cihad Demirli, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to the Kyrgyz Republic Sandor Dorogi, as well as representatives and experts of responsible departments for education and science in fraternal countries attended the event.
During the meeting, the Chairmanship of the Scientific Council of the Turkic Academy passed from the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kyrgyz Republic.
At the meeting, the President of the Academy presented a report of 2022, and presented the project plan for 2023.
In particular, issues of cooperation in the field of education and science of the member countries of the Turkic Academy, research projects, the approval of anniversary dates of the Turkic world for 2023 were discussed, and the priority areas of activity of the Turkic Academy were also approved. The next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Turkic Academy will be held in Baku.
The members of the Scientific Council highly appreciated the report and approved the work plan of the Academy for 2023 and agreed on the place and time of the next meeting of the Council.
Following the discussions, the members of the Council, chaired by Minister Kanybek Imanaliev, adopted the Protocol on the implementation of the main scientific directions of the Turkic Academy:
I. Studies of the historical and cultural heritage of the Turkic world;
II. Formation of Turkic identity in the modern period;
III. Turkic languages from ancient times to the present;
IV. Economic cooperation and integration in the Turkic world.
It is worth pointing out that among the significant dates of the Turkic world in 2023 are;
- the 1050th anniversary of the great scholar Abu Rayhan al-Biruni,
- the 930th anniversary of the birth of thinker Khoja Ahmed Yasawi,
- the 600th anniversary of the ruler of the Ak-Koyunlu state Uzun Hassan,
- 800th anniversary of Sultan Baybars, the 200th anniversary of the famous Kyrgyz thinker Moldo Niyaz,
- the 150th anniversary of the poet, politician and author of the Turkish national anthem Mehmet Akif Ersoy,
- the 130th anniversary of the deciphering of the ancient Turkic script.
and during 2023 there will be other anniversaries of outstanding personalities and important events.
