15-year-old Kazakhstani Amir Omarkhanov became the champion of the fourth category ITF Juniors tournament in Karaganda, reports Turanews.kz reports citing Kazakhstan Tennis Federation.
Kazakhstan Tennis Federation stated that Amir defeated his compatriot Ilyas Maratulin in the final with the score of 3:6, 7:5, 6:1.
“I am happy to have won a competition of this level for the first time. A week ago I was not playing well, but gradually I got back to normal. During the race, I increased my pace,” said A. Omarkhanov.
A graduate of the Karaganda Tennis School is currently training in the Czech Republic.
