The 100-volume “Masterpieces of Turkish Literature” book series published in Uzbek language was introduced.

More than 200 translators, more than 100 literary experts and writers were involved in the preparation of the collection.

The ceremony held at the Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences was attended by the President of the Uzbekistan Presidential Administration Information and Mass Communication Agency Asadcan Hocayev, the Chief Advisor to the President Hayriddin Sultanov, Uzbek writers and experts, and representatives of the embassies of the Turkic States Organization (TDT) member countries operating in the country.

Speaking at the ceremony, Hocayev reminded that the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, came up with the idea of ​​publishing the 100-volume “Masterpieces of Turkish Literature” book series, which includes the best examples of the literature of the member countries of the organization, at the Turkic Council meeting held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, on October 15, 2019. He stated that it is gratifying that it has been implemented in Uzbekistan.

Noting that the “Masterpieces of Turkish Literature” book series includes the works of famous poets and writers from TDT member countries Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, as well as observer countries Turkmenistan and Hungary, Sultanov said, “This literary treasure is the first among Turkish-speaking countries. It is invaluable as a major literary project that has been realized once and for all.” said.

At the seventh session of the Cooperation Council of Turkic States held on October 15, 2019 in Baku, the capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan, it was proposed to prepare a 100-volume collection of the literature of the Turkic world.
