Player ratings from the sixth round of the Champions League main stage match between Almaty’s Kairat and Greece’s Olympiacos have been published, TuraNews.kz reports citing Egemen.kz.
According to SofaScore, goalkeeper Temirlan Anarbekov delivered the standout performance of the evening. He produced eight crucial saves, consistently keeping Kairat in the game. His efforts earned him a 9.2 rating, the highest of the match.
Kairat defenders Erkin Tapalov and Egor Sorokin also showed solid form, each receiving a 7.2 score.
Olympiacos’ only goal was scored by Gelson Martins, who was rated 7.5.
Importantly, Temirlan Anarbekov became the first Kazakh footballer ever to be named MVP in a Champions League match.
Kairat lost the match 0–1 to Olympiacos in the sixth round.
