This development was highlighted by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan, Beybut Atamkulov, during a meeting of the Kazakhstan-Uzbek Business Council in Astana, as reported by Kazinform agency.
Ambassador Atamkulov elaborated on the role of the International Center of Industrial Cooperation “Central Asia,” stating its purpose in fostering economic growth and collaboration.
“At the end of last year, we signed the intergovernmental agreement on regulating activities of the International Center of Industrial Cooperation ‘Central Asia.’ This center will encourage the creation of new manufacturing facilities, jobs, and the processing of agricultural and industrial products. Additionally, it will provide logistics services to facilitate the transportation of goods,” said Atamkulov.
The ambassador emphasized that successful industrial cooperation is heavily reliant on efficient cargo transportation to ensure the timely delivery of raw materials and finished goods.
“With the increasing pace of joint ventures and active cooperation between our countries, I believe it’s time to establish a Kazakh-Uzbek business association. This association could serve as a platform for effective collaboration between businesses and the government. It will focus on the development and support of business initiatives,” Atamkulov noted.
Atamkulov mentioned that approximately 20 Kazakh companies currently operating in Uzbekistan have expressed interest in forming such an association. This platform would facilitate communication with government bodies to address various issues encountered in business operations.
“This association can act as a bridge for exchanging experience and best practices, promoting new projects, and strengthening our economic ties,” he added.
