Tashkent held an exhibiton of the artworks of artists of member countries of TURKSOY

Secretary General of TURKSOY Sultan Raev spoke at the opening ceremony of the exhibition.

The International Festival of Traditional Fine and Applied Arts opened on Tuesday in Tashkent. For the first time in the history of the holiday, the Fine Arts Gallery of Uzbekistan hosts the exhibition “Meeting of Artists of the Turkic World”, which presents the best works of artists from the member countries of the TURKSOY organization – Azerbaijan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Uzbek press reports.

The opening day of the painting will last a week timed to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the formation of TURKSOY. The gallery presents more than 100 works by 30 artists from the member countries of the organization.

Over the past 25 years, the exhibition of artists has traditionally been held in various countries of the Turkic world, including in the cities of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey. The Tashkent exposition was organized by TURKSOY, an international organization of Turkic culture in cooperation with the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan.
