Tajik Citizen Wanted Interstate Detained by East Kazakhstan Police
A citizen of Tajikistan, who was wanted across state lines, has been apprehended in East Kazakhstan by local law enforcement.
According to the press service of the Police Department of the East Kazakhstan region of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, police detained the wanted foreign national.
The Tajik citizen, aged 25, was sought interstate for multiple crimes including fraud and theft. Law enforcement officers located and apprehended him during a search operation conducted in a rented apartment in Ust-Kamenogorsk.
Currently, the detained individual is held in a detention center, with authorities initiating communication with counterparts in the Republic of Tajikistan regarding his extradition.
This arrest marks one of several successful apprehensions made by East Kazakhstan PD officers this year, totaling over 15 wanted criminals apprehended since the beginning of the year.
