Speeding Drivers on InDrive and Yandex Go in Kazakhstan Face Suspension

In Kazakhstan, drivers for taxi services inDrive and Yandex Go risk suspension for frequent speeding. The Ministry of Transport has announced that these drivers may face temporary or permanent bans from taking orders.

The Ministry of Transport, in collaboration with inDrive and Yandex Go, has signed a memorandum to enforce this measure. The agreement allows for suspensions based on user reviews and ratings, targeting drivers who habitually exceed speed limits. Additionally, drivers will receive alerts to check their vehicle’s technical condition and ensure seatbelt use.

This memorandum, also involving the Ministry of Internal Affairs, aims to ensure compliance with road transport regulations. It includes plans for training drivers both online and offline. These sessions will cover traffic rules, passenger communication, and highway safety.

The ultimate goal of this initiative is to enhance safety for users on both local and intercity roads across Kazakhstan.
