Snowslide Hits Almaty’s Bostandyk District

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan has confirmed a snowslide incident in the Bostandyk district of Almaty.

According to official reports, approximately 5000 cubic meters of snow mass were displaced during the incident. Thankfully, there were no reported casualties or damage.

Authorities have reiterated the ongoing risk of avalanches in the region and are urging all citizens and tourists to avoid mountainous areas as a precautionary measure.
