Smuggling Ring for Methamphetamine Uncovered in Cola Shipment
Authorities from the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, working in conjunction with the prosecutor's office, have dismantled a smuggling operation involving a significant quantity of methamphetamine.
Following a meticulously planned operation conducted in Shymkent, a foreign national suspected of orchestrating the illicit trafficking network was apprehended at the scene of the drug seizure.
During the thorough examination of a heavy-duty truck, law enforcement officers discovered and confiscated over 90 liters of methamphetamine cleverly dissolved within bottles of the popular soft drink, “Cola.”
Subsequent laboratory analysis revealed that the concentration of the illicit substances within the beverage exceeded 80%.
A preliminary investigation is currently underway under the provisions outlined in Part 3 of Article 297 of the Criminal Code.
In a statement released by the press service of the National Criminal Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan, it was stated that, “According to Article 201, Part 1 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Republic of Kazakhstan, further details pertaining to this case will not be disclosed to the public.”
