Six Earthquakes Recorded in China, Felt in Kazakhstan
The Ministry of Emergencies in Kazakhstan has reported that a series of earthquakes struck China within a single day
According to the seismic network operated by the Kazakhstan Ministry of Emergencies, six earthquakes were registered in China on January 30, 2024.
Kazakh seismologists, affiliated with the Network of Seismic Stations LLP “NNTSSNiI,” recorded these seismic events, with one earthquake being perceptible on the territory of Kazakhstan at 04:27. The epicenter was located 293 km southeast of the city of Almaty within Chinese territory. Sensibility information, based on the MSK-64 scale, indicated a magnitude of 2 points in the city of Almaty. Fortunately, there have been no reports of casualties or significant damage.
The Ministry of Emergencies reassured the public, stating that the situation is stable. In their official message, they recommend citizens to remain calm and avoid panic in light of the seismic activity.
