Silk Road Photo Exhibition Opens In Hungary

A cultural event highlighting the legacy of the Silk Road has taken place in the Hungarian town of Kondoros, as part of Uzbekistan’s chairmanship of the TURKSOY organization. The Feherliliom Folk School hosted a solo exhibition by Hungarian photographer Sandor Uyvari, titled “Street Scenes Along the Silk Road.”

The opening ceremony was attended by TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev, Uzbek diplomats, and representatives of Hungary’s political and cultural circles.

The exhibition presents a visual narrative linking Central Asia and Europe, capturing everyday life along the historic trade route through a contemporary lens. Addressing guests, Raev emphasized that the photographs highlight the Silk Road’s enduring role as a cultural bridge and reinforce spiritual ties among Turkic peoples.

The exhibition will remain open to the public until February 14, 2026.
