Sherali Kabir: We Aim to Fully Integrate and Unite the Economies of Tajikistan and Türkiye
Favorable conditions have been established for Turkish businessmen and investors in Tajikistan, according to Sherali Kabir, the Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan.
During the Türkiye-Tajikistan Business Forum held at TOBB Twin Towers in Ankara, Minister Kabir expressed his vision for closer economic integration between Tajikistan and Türkiye. Quoting Mevlana, he stated, “We came to unite. In this sense, we want to fully integrate and unite Tajikistan and Türkiye. The economies of the two countries can complement each other.”
The forum was attended by notable figures including Türkiye’s Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Chairman of the State Committee for Investments and State Property Management of Tajikistan Sultan Rahimzade, President of the Council of Foreign Economic Relations (DEİK) Nail Olpak, and other officials.
Minister Kabir emphasized that Tajikistan has prepared favorable conditions for Turkish businessmen and investors. He highlighted Tajikistan’s recent advancements in the economy and industry, noting that the necessary infrastructure for trade has been established.
Kabir pointed out that Tajikistan maintains “good relations” with Central Asian countries and has free trade agreements with some of them, as well as strong ties with neighboring countries like China. These connections, he said, would facilitate the easy supply of products made in Tajikistan to the region, benefiting Turkish investors.
He also underscored Tajikistan’s focus on green energy production, stating that green electricity paves the way for a green economy. Kabir expressed a desire to adopt Türkiye’s technological advancements in Tajikistan’s industrial sector, emphasizing the historical ties between the two nations.
“In this sense, we want to fully integrate and unite Tajikistan and Türkiye. The economies of the two countries can complement each other. All conditions have been prepared for you to come to Tajikistan and take advantage of its opportunities. We want to be your partners. Your trade in Tajikistan will certainly develop and grow every day,” he concluded.
