During the ceremony, President Erdogan praised Uzbekistan’s progress under Mirziyoyev’s leadership since his election in 2016. He highlighted Uzbekistan’s role as a source of peace and stability in the region and commended Mirziyoyev for driving the country’s development through the ambitious projects of the 3rd Renaissance of Uzbekistan and progressive reforms, which Türkiye wholeheartedly supports.
“We are pleased to see President Mirziyoyev restoring the glory of Uzbekistan, a great state. Türkiye is proud of Uzbekistan’s achievements in all areas,” Erdogan stated.
The ceremony was attended by Emine Erdogan, the First Lady of Türkiye; Ziroat Mirziyoyeva, the First Lady of Uzbekistan; along with members of both governments, officials, and numerous guests.
