Satpayev Becomes One of the Youngest Goalscorers in Champions League History

Almaty’s FC Kairat suffered an away defeat to FC Copenhagen in the UEFA Champions League general stage.

Kairat forward Dastan Satpayev found the net, making him the first Kazakh player ever to score in the Champions League. Previously, in both Kairat’s matches and Astana’s 2015–2016 campaign, all goals had been scored exclusively by foreign players.

Satpayev also entered the top three youngest goalscorers in tournament history. He was 17 years and 110 days old when he scored against Copenhagen. Only Ansu Fati (17 years 40 days) and Lamine Yamal (17 years 68 days) achieved this milestone at a younger age.
