Sadyr Zhaparov will attend the Summit of Organization of Turkic States in Uzbekistan
It was announced by the head of the foreign policy department of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Muratbek Azymbakiev that the President of Republic of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov will make a visit to the city of Samarkand to participate in the ninth meeting of the Summit of the Heads of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) which will take place 10-11 November.
“The leaders of the countries will discuss topical issues of multilateral cooperation within the Organization, adopt the Declaration and Strategy of the UTC for 2022-2026. As part of the event, it is planned to sign agreements and documents in the field of transport, customs, digitalization, as well as appointment to a number of positions in the UTC and the International Turkic Academy.
During the Summit, a decision will be made to appoint a representative of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kubanychbek Omuraliev to the post of Secretary General of the Organization.
The Heads of the member states of the Organization – the Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkey will take part in the work of the Summit under the chairmanship of the Uzbekistan.
The Prime Minister of Hungary and the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan will take part in the work of the upcoming summit as countries with the status of observers in the OTS.
It is expected that during the visit, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov will hold a meeting with Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban, during which topical issues of bilateral cooperation will be discussed,” Muratbek Azymbakiyev informed.
