According to the statement made by the Presidency Press Center, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov received the Minister of Interior of the Republic of Turkey, Suleyman Soylu, who came to the country for a visit.
During their meeting, Zhaparov and Soylu exchanged views on the further development of practical cooperation in ensuring public security, the fight against illegal immigration and the implementation of agreements between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.
“Turkey is a brother country and a reliable friend for us”
Emphasizing that Soylu’s visit will help strengthen the bilateral cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries, “Turkey is a brother state and a reliable friend for us. Kyrgyzstan attaches special importance to cooperation with Turkey.” said Sadyr Zhaparov.
Interior Minister Soylu thanked Zhaparov for his hospitality and conveyed the greetings of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Soylu stated that they had extensive talks with their Kyrgyz colleagues on security, terrorism, extremism, illegal immigration and cooperation in the fight against drug smuggling.
Stating that the Turkish side took into account the instructions of the leaders of the two countries, “We are ready to further deepen the strategic partnership in all areas of cooperation.” Soylu said.
