Russian Technolux launches shoe production in Uzbekistan

The association “Uzcharmsanoat” held a meeting with the leadership of the Russian company “Technolux” on the topic of opening a shoe factory in Uzbekistan, Turanews.kz reports citing the Press Service of the association.

Technolux is engaged in the production of children’s winter and sports shoes on the basis of outsourcing. Products supplied to most retail chains in Russia are in great demand. The company is working on expanding production. Uzbekistan is actively considered as a location for a new enterprise.

At the meeting, investors were given full information about the legal framework governing the industry, guarantees for investors, tax and customs preferences, as well as small industrial zones created for the industry.

The delegation of the company has already visited Uzbekistan several times on a working visit, studied the production potential, raw material base and conditions for doing business. The foreign enterprise has already been registered in Uzbekistan, and the process of considering a suitable location for accommodating capacities is currently underway.

At the initial stage, the shoe factory will produce 80 thousand pairs of shoes per year, plans to increase the figure to 110-120 thousand pairs per month – these are mainly children’s shoes, but the possibility of establishing a line of production of women’s shoes is also being considered.

The products of the new enterprise will be exported. The CIS is considered as a priority market, and in the future the company plans to enter the markets of Europe.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached that all legal and practical support for the launch of the shoe factory and the export of products will be provided by the Uzcharmsanoat association.
