Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov visit Türkiye
During Sergey Lavrov's visit to Türkiye, a wide range of topical regional and international issues will be discussed
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will start a two-day visit to Türkiye on Thursday, April 6, said an official Turkish statement.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and Lavrov will discuss bilateral and regional issues, said the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
The ministers are also expected to hold a joint news conference on Friday in the capital Ankara.
Issues such as the ongoing issues related to the grain and fertilizer exports as part of the Black Sea Grain Initiative brokered by Türkiye and the United Nations.
Moscow only agreed to renew grain deal for 60 days. Russia and Ukraine are vital global suppliers of food commodities, and Russia is also a top exporter of fertilizer.
Türkiye, internationally praised for its mediator role between Ukraine and Russia, has repeatedly urged Kyiv and Moscow to end the over year-old war through negotiations.
