Russian cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko has captured a stunning photograph of the nighttime scenery of Kazakhstan from aboard the International Space Station (ISS), TuraNews.kz reports.
“As night falls, every city undergoes a transformation: some cities ‘fall asleep’ beneath its blanket, while others come to life, gleaming even brighter under the stars. Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, serves as a prime example. Upon close inspection, the nocturnal contours of the city form a heart enclosed within a circle.”
