President Tokayev Visits Iranian Embassy in Kazakhstan to Offer Condolences
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited the Iranian Embassy in Astana to express his condolences following the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and members of his government delegation.
During his visit, President Tokayev signed the book of condolences, sharing heartfelt words of sympathy and support for the Iranian people. The Akorda press service reported his statement:
“I received with deep sorrow the news of the untimely death of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, and members of the government delegation. Ebrahim Raisi is a great son of his nation who served his homeland faithfully. He will forever remain in our memory as a wise leader, an authoritative politician, and an outstanding figure who made a huge contribution to strengthening cooperation between the two countries. On behalf of the people of Kazakhstan and on my own behalf, I express my deepest condolences to the brotherly Iranian people.”
