President Tokayev Receives Personal Welcome from Emir of Qatar in Doha
The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, received a warm welcome upon his arrival at Hamad International Airport in Doha, as he was personally greeted by the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The prestigious reception, which included a ceremonial Guard of Honor stationed at the aircraft’s ramp, TuraNews.kz reports citing the Akorda press service.
Following the formalities, both leaders engaged in a brief exchange of views within the airport’s hall of honor.
Tomorrow, on February 14, President Tokayev is scheduled to engage in discussions with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, as well as with Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani. A series of bilateral agreements are expected to be signed as an outcome of these negotiations.
Moreover, the President will participate in a Kazakh-Qatari investment round table and hold meetings with prominent figures in the Qatari business community.
