President Tokayev Participates in Opening Ceremony of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev took part in the opening ceremony of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) and the Zayed Sustainability Prize awards ceremony.
The event also saw the participation of key international leaders, including Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates; Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan; Paul Kagame, President of Rwanda; Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Uzbekistan; Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia; Christopher Luxon, Prime Minister of New Zealand; and Petteri Orpo, Prime Minister of Finland. Also in attendance were policymakers, leaders in renewable energy, technological development, and innovation, as well as investors and entrepreneurs.
The summit is expected to feature a speech by President Tokayev.
Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) is one of the leading global platforms dedicated to sustainable development and combating climate change. The event aims to stimulate investment in green technologies and renewable energy, and to seek innovative solutions to achieve the United Nations’ sustainable development goals. This year’s theme, “The Nexus of Next: Supercharging Sustainable Progress,” focuses on accelerating sustainable progress towards a more sustainable future.
