President Tokayev Orders Security Measures Amid Ukraine Crisis Escalation
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has directed senior officials, including the Prime Minister, the Head of the Presidential Administration, regional akims, and leaders of law enforcement agencies, to implement urgent measures to safeguard key military and civilian facilities. This directive comes in response to the worsening situation surrounding Ukraine.
The announcement was made by Berik Uali, the Presidential Advisor and Press Secretary, on his official Facebook page.
Uali emphasized that the heads of Kazakhstan’s parliamentary chambers have been briefed on the measures being undertaken. He assured that the situation remains under the personal supervision of President Tokayev.
“For Kazakhstan, the primary strategic objective is to preserve stability, peace, and law and order. Our country has consistently called for resolving the conflict between the two Slavic nations through diplomatic negotiations,” Uali stated.
