President Tokayev Meets with Uzbek Leader Shavkat Mirziyoyev

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting yesterday with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during which he emphasized the special importance of the upcoming “Central Asia – European Union” summit. President Tokayev expressed confidence that the event would contribute to strengthening the region's dialogue with the EU.

The two leaders also highlighted the productive outcomes of their recent informal meeting in Almaty, which provided an excellent opportunity to review the current state of Kazakh-Uzbek relations and identify new areas for joint cooperation, TuraNews.kz reports, citing the press service of Akorda.

Both presidents acknowledged the high momentum in the development of bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan and reaffirmed their readiness to expand mutually beneficial partnerships across all areas of interaction.
