President Tokayev Meets with Supreme Court Chairman to Discuss Judicial Reforms

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan recently met with Aslambek Mergaliyev, the Chairman of the Supreme Court, to discuss ongoing developments in the country's judicial system.

During the meeting, President Tokayev was briefed on the current issues facing the administration of justice, as well as the measures being taken to modernize the judicial system. A key topic was the digitalization of the judicial process, including the automation of undisputed administrative offense cases.

Aslambek Mergaliyev reported an increase in the use of conciliation procedures for resolving civil and administrative cases, highlighting a shift towards more amicable settlements.

President Tokayev emphasized the need to enhance the quality of judicial personnel, strengthen the protection of citizens’ rights, uphold the rule of law, and build public trust in the judiciary.
