President Tokayev Meets with Singapore’s Senior Minister Teo Chee Hean
President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Singapore’s Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security, Teo Chee Hean, to discuss the current state and future prospects of political and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Singapore.
President Tokayev expressed Astana’s readiness to enhance bilateral relations through a trusting dialogue and strong trade and investment ties. He highlighted the honor of delivering the 46th Singapore Lecture on regional security, stability, and sustainable development earlier that day.
Senior Minister Teo Chee Hean thanked President Tokayev for his visit to the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies, acknowledging the significance of the President’s lecture in understanding socio-political trends, security issues, and economic developments in the region.
The two leaders also exchanged views on international and regional matters.
At the conclusion of the meeting, President Tokayev signed a copy of his book, “Overcoming. Essays on a Diplomat,” which Teo Chee Hean had previously brought from Kazakhstan.
