President Tokayev Meets Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov to Review Economic and Agricultural Progress
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a working meeting with Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov to review progress on economic diversification, industrial modernization, and sustainable development initiatives.

Bektenov reported on the implementation of 45 major industrial projects totaling over 2.3 trillion tenge in investments, expected to create around 20,000 new jobs. These projects are part of broader economic restructuring measures guided by presidential directives.
The Prime Minister also briefed the President on measures in the transportation sector following recent discussions at the National Security Council.
During the meeting, Tokayev was informed about the progress of the vegetation period. The government is maintaining a steady supply of water resources for farmers, promoting water-saving technologies, and operating regional coordination centers.
The spring planting season has concluded, and preparations for the harvest are underway. The total sown area reached 23.7 million hectares. Since the beginning of the year, the agricultural, forestry, and fisheries sectors have seen a 4% growth, with positive trends reported across all regions.
Updates were also provided on the modernization of energy and utility infrastructure, as well as ongoing digital transformation efforts.
President Tokayev issued further instructions aimed at accelerating institutional reforms, regional development, and increasing foreign investment.
