President Tokayev Holds Talks with Prime Minister Viktor Orban in Budapest
President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, met with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to discuss key areas of bilateral cooperation and explore prospects for further strengthening their strategic partnership.
President Tokayev underscored Hungary’s role as a reliable strategic partner in the European Union and emphasized the fraternal and friendly ties between the two nations. He highlighted the primary goal of his visit: to invigorate bilateral relations, particularly in vital sectors such as energy, transport, and logistics.
Discussions focused on implementing joint projects in the oil and gas sector, agriculture, logistics, the nuclear industry, and the financial sector. Both leaders expressed their governments’ readiness to foster favorable conditions for the successful realization of these initiatives.
Prime Minister Viktor Orban expressed confidence that the agreements reached during the talks would serve as a solid foundation for expanding cooperation between Hungary and Kazakhstan.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on regional and international issues, with particular attention to collaboration within multilateral organizations. President Tokayev commended Viktor Orban for his significant contributions to enhancing the Organization of Turkic States’ role on the global stage.
The talks reaffirmed the mutual commitment to advancing the strategic partnership and paved the way for new opportunities to strengthen ties between the two countries.
