In his address, President Tokayev emphasized the significance of the Constitution as a cornerstone of Kazakhstan’s statehood and a guarantor of the country’s progressive and sustainable development. He highlighted that the Constitution prioritizes the rights, freedoms, and interests of citizens, which are at the heart of all reforms undertaken in Kazakhstan.
Tokayev pointed to the 2022 constitutional reforms as the start of a comprehensive democratization process, which has led to the modernization of the political system. These reforms also strengthened human rights institutions, elevated the status of the Human Rights Commissioner, and established the Constitutional Court, contributing to the rule of law in the country.
The President stressed that the Constitution plays a key role in ensuring law and order, which are essential for creating a fair and harmonious society. He called for respect and strict adherence to the Basic Law, stating that this reflects civic responsibility and true patriotism.
President Tokayev expressed his belief that, guided by the enduring values of the Constitution, Kazakhstan will continue to build a just state where equal opportunities are available to all. He concluded by wishing all citizens health, happiness, and continued success.
