President Participates in “Central Asia – United States” Summit

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev took part in the “Central Asia – United States” (C5+1) summit, expressing gratitude to the U.S. President for hosting the historic meeting at the White House.

President Tokayev noted that the summit marks a new stage in the development of cooperation between Central Asia and the United States.

During his remarks, the Kazakh leader highlighted the significant role of U.S. President Donald Trump in international affairs and acknowledged his influence on global political processes.

Tokayev reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s commitment to strengthening its strategic partnership with the United States. He emphasized that during the first presidential term of Donald Trump, bilateral relations reached the level of an expanded strategic partnership. The United States remains Kazakhstan’s largest foreign investor, having invested more than $100 billion in the national economy. Bilateral trade has doubled in recent years, approaching $5 billion. Over 600 U.S. companies currently operate in Kazakhstan.

The President announced that new agreements worth more than $17 billion were signed between Kazakh and American companies as part of this visit. According to him, the overall potential of economic cooperation — spanning energy, critical minerals, industry, transport, finance, artificial intelligence, and education — exceeds half a trillion dollars.

Tokayev invited U.S. companies to take advantage of the opportunities available in Kazakhstan and assured investors of his full support.
