President of Uzbekistan to pay a working visit to Kazakhstan
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of the Republic of Uzbekistan is poised to undertake a significant working visit to the city of Astana from November 2 to November 3. This visit comes in response to an invitation from President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of the Republic of Kazakhstan and is in conjunction with the forthcoming meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States, TuraNews.kz reports.
The summit’s agenda is packed with key discussions aimed at advancing the multifaceted cooperation within the Organization. Top priorities include bolstering collaboration in sectors such as trade, economics, investment, transportation, environmental issues, culture, humanitarian endeavors, and more.
Delegations led by heads of state will engage in substantive dialogues concerning current international political matters and regional interactions. Upon the summit’s conclusion, the participants plan to endorse several joint documents, solidifying their commitment to deeper cooperation.
It’s worth noting that the Republic of Uzbekistan holds the presidency of the Organization of Turkic States this year, reinforcing its pivotal role in fostering unity and cooperation among member states. The Organization’s membership includes the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, and the Republic of Türkiye, while Hungary and Turkmenistan serve as observers.
