The team of developers personally met with scientists and managers and presents answers to questions such as: How was the QazVac vaccine developed? What obstacles had to be overcome? How was the domestic vaccine manufacturing plant built? What is its significance? The pandemic has ended, but the work of scientists and medical workers in the fight against the pandemic should not be forgotten. The book is being published for this purpose,” says Kunsulu Zakaria, President of the Board of the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The book tells the story of when and how the development of the domestic vaccine began, the difficulties scientists encountered along the way, the risky decisions that were made, and the successes that were achieved. The team that developed the book emphasizes that the creation of a domestic vaccine was a real feat by Kazakh scientists who demonstrated a high level of professionalism and scientific competence.
The book provides information about how the vaccine passed three stages of clinical trials, certification, and was put into production. The team that prepared the book highlights that the development of a domestic vaccine has become an important step in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and has successfully addressed this global problem. Therefore, the book “QazVaC: TAITALAS” can be considered an important source of information about Kazakhstan’s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and the creation of a domestic vaccine.
